SOUNDTOOLS ANNOUNCES THE NEW WALLCAT 5 WITH THREE-WAY SPLIT FUNCTIONALITY
Send up to four channels to three different locations
CAMARILLO, CA, October 11, 2024 - SoundTools announces the newest addition to their Analog-Audio-Over-Cat line of sound products with the WallCAT 5. The WallCAT 5 adds extra functionality to the popular WallCAT 4 by adding an extra etherCON receptacle to the front, allowing for daisy chaining, a three-way split, or, with modifications, a 4-channel unit plus a 4-channel pass through for connecting up to 8 separate channels.
The SoundTools WallCAT 5 is an easy-to-install four channel 2 gang wall plate with four XLR male or female connectors and a female etherCON connector. Use installed shielded category 5e or higher grade cable to carry mic or line level analog audio, AES3, DMX, COM, and other 3-pin XLR-based signals to one or more locations. Each wall unit has two RJ45 connectors on the back, wired in parallel, allowing for daisy chaining or a three-way split.
