The SoundTools Mic Switcher consists of 4 XLR cables (3-in, 1-out), each approximately 5’ (1.5m) long and terminated with genuine Neutrik connectors.
The latest version of the microphone Switcher utilizes a "make-before-break" switch, allowing for quieter switching in every application.
The Mic Switcher allows an audio engineer to have backup or spare microphones on a single input on your mixer or audio interface. This way a switch to a backup microphone still uses all your routing and FX, without tying up another audio channel. Easily change to your artist's backup microphone with a quick flip of the switch.

Simply plug in three microphones and easily select between them by rotating the make-before-break rotary switch. The Mic Switcher utilizes a low noise "make before break" switch though it is not silent and a click or pop may be heard. For most applications the pop is not an issue but for critical uses, muting the channels before switching is recommended

At any point during the first year of ownership, all SoundTools products can be returned to the original place of purchase for a replacement or full refund. After the one year period all SoundTools products have Lifetime coverage against defects or malfunction and SoundTools will replace or repair the unit at no cost. If you wish to start a claim under the Lifetime Warranty contact the SoundTools dealer closest to you, or reach out directly to SoundTools support. Replacement units may be refurbished or B-Stock. SoundTools will cover shipment of the replacement or repaired unit.

- What is a low noise switch?
The Mic Switcher is designed for the lowest noise possible when switching. In most applications, there is no audible sound while switching. Applying a mute before switching is recommended in some applications, primarily where phantom power is supplied or on a wireless signal.
- Can I send AES3 with the Mic Switcher?
Actually, yes! You can safely send AES3 over our high quality XLR cables and even switch between channels using the MBB (make before break) switch.
