At any point during the first year of ownership, all SoundTools products can be returned to the original place of purchase for a replacement or full refund. After the one year period all SoundTools products have Lifetime coverage against defects or malfunction and SoundTools will replace or repair the unit at no cost. - The LED's on my NL-4 Sniffer/Sender are showing all red when plugged directly into each other. Is it broken?
Typically this occurs when the batteries are put in backwards. Reversing its position will return it to all green.
- Can I test NL2 cables with the NL4 cable tester?
While the NL4 Sniffer/Sender was not designed to test NL2 cables, you can use the tester on 2 wire cables. You will get a readout of "A=Green," "B=Red," "C=Green," and "D=Green." Alternativly you can test two NL2 cables using a "Y" adapter.
