Most people won’t think to say cables, but we at SoundTools know that well-functioning and reliable cables are one of the most important parts of a quality snake run, a great tour rig, or a well-working installation. We field-tested over 20 different brands and connections in order to build what we consider the perfect cable.
SuperCAT cables embrace the tactile properties of a professional mic and audio cable, coil easily, lay flat and offer a high quality feel. We terminate our cables with genuine Neutrik etherCON connectors that are crimped to a braided grounding for superior durability on the road.
SuperCAT cables consist of four twisted pairs of 26 AWG wiring surrounded by a braided shield and flame-retardant polyurethane jacket. We chose the PUR jacket (made from the same material as skateboard wheels) for several great properties: it remains flexible even at extreme temperatures, lays flat, and coils easily. Our cables are covered by our Happy Human Warranty. If you need a replacement during your lifetime, give our team a shout.
OUR AUDIO OVER CAT PRODUCTS
When combined with our other SoundTools products, such as the CAT Box or CAT Tails, our SuperCAT cable acts as a 4-in-1 line to carry up to 4 channels of clear audio and phantom power over long distances. Light, efficient, and cost-effective -- one SuperCAT cable can take the place of four other audio cables.
All SoundTools products are covered by a LIFETIME Happy Human warranty. At any point during the first year of ownership, all SoundTools products can be returned to the original place of purchase for a replacement or full refund. Simply contact the place of purchase or see https://soundtools.com/support to arrange the warranty coverage and arrange for SoundTools to cover shipping costs.
After the one year period all SoundTools products have Lifetime coverage against defects or malfunction and SoundTools will replace or repair the unit at no cost. If you wish to start a claim under the Lifetime Warranty contact the SoundTools dealer closest to you, or reach out directly to SoundTools support. Replacement units may be refurbished or B-Stock. SoundTools will cover shipment of the replacement or repaired unit.

**For damaged SoundTools cables over one year past purchase date, the warranty covers no cost re-termination to the longest viable length.
- Can I use your cable for data/analog?
Short answer, yes! Long answer, the SuperCAT cable can be used for either digital signals or analog and sometimes both at the same time. Using the analog capabilities you can run four separate lines of AES over the system, or simply use the cable for an all digital connection.
- What spec is the SuperCAT cable?
SuperCAT cable is a CAT5e AWG26/19 S/UTP spec using a Halogen free polyurethane. The cable is flame & UV resistant and is specifically designed for short to medium length cable runs, exposure to the elements, and portable applications.
- Does it come in black?
Yes. The SuperCAT is available in purple (violet) and black.
- Is it possible to buy unterminated lengths?
We currently provide unterminated cable at lengths of 500 ft. and above. We will try to accommodate custom lengths when possible.
- What kind of shielding does your cable use?
The SoundTools SuperCAT cable uses a braided shield which we connect to the RJ45 jack for continuity over ground.
